SUMMARY:NON-BINARY SEXUAL HEALTH: MAKING YOUR PRACTICE MORE INCLUSIVE
DESCRIPTION:Developed and Facilitated by Eddy Robinson (Skipping Stone Foundation) & Chris Buchner (Centre for Sexuality)\, Calgary \nNon-Binary Sexual Health: Making your practice more inclusive is an advanced workshop aimed at supporting practitioners in making their practice more accessible to Non-Binary people. This interactive workshop will help build participants comfort and skills in supporting non-binary clients with sexual health. We will also lead you through a discussion on best practice for language\, how to make your practice gender neutral\, trauma informed care for gender dysphoria\, and promoting inclusive sexual health conversations. \nFacilitator Bios:\nChris Buchner joined the Centre for Sexuality in 2018 as a Training Centre Facilitator. Since 2003 Chris has been working with children and youth in direct service\, supervisory and management roles. Throughout his career Chris also has been facilitating trainings and workshops on a variety of topics including meaningful youth engagement and anti-oppression. Chris is excited to lend his skills and expertise to facilitating trainings to other professionals. \nEddy Robinson works at Skipping Stone Foundation as the Community Programs and Outreach team lead. There\, they manage the intake team\, oversea community programs and facilitate education. They have spoken on topics like Creating inclusive workplaces\, Supporting gender creative children\, Non-binary identities and Gender affirming gear. Eddy has also worked with Centre for Sexuality\, the SAMRU Pride Centre and Calgary Pride on similar topics of LGBTQ inclusion. \nClick here to register for the online workshop.

DESCRIPTION:Au nom des Instituts de recherche en santé du Canada (IRSC)\, nous sommes heureux d’annoncer le lancement de Santé mondiale 3.0 : Cadre d’action pour la recherche en santé mondiale des IRSC 2021-2026. Ce cadre d’action a été élaboré dans la foulée d’un vaste processus de consultation qui a amené plus de 400 chercheurs et intervenants à mieux comprendre les défis et les perspectives du Canada en ce qui a trait à la recherche en santé mondiale. \nLa pandémie de COVID-19 fait ressortir l’importance de la collaboration mondiale pour surmonter des défis de santé indifférents aux frontières géographiques. Le Cadre d’action pour la recherche en santé mondiale reconnaît que les menaces mondiales commandent une mobilisation mondiale pour accélérer l’atteinte de l’équité en santé pour tous. \nLe Cadre vise à développer la capacité de recherche du Canada afin de produire un grand impact\, de favoriser l’harmonisation et de renforcer la capacité en santé mondiale. Au cours des cinq prochaines années\, les activités des IRSC dans la recherche en santé mondiale cibleront trois secteurs clés : \n* la prévention des maladies non transmissibles;\n* le sexe\, le genre et la santé;\n* les urgences sanitaires. \nNous continuerons de tirer parti des forces de la recherche canadienne et des partenariats nationaux et internationaux déjà établis pour exercer un impact significatif et soutenir l’adoption de politiques et de pratiques fondées sur des données probantes. \nVous êtes invité à vous joindre à des représentants du gouvernement du Canada\, des chercheurs\, des stagiaires\, des dirigeants communautaires et des responsables des politiques\, dans le cadre d’une rencontre virtuelle intitulée Optimiser la recherche canadienne au profit de l’équité en santé mondiale\, où nous dévoilerons le nouveau Cadre d’action pour la recherche en santé mondiale des IRSC. \nNous vous encourageons à faire circuler cette invitation dans vos réseaux. \nL’annonce sera faite en anglais avec interprétation simultanée en français. \nLUNDI 31 MAI 2021 \n10h00 – 11h00 (HE) \nINSCRIPTION
