SUMMARY:Employment Equity Partners' Roundtable
DESCRIPTION:“Beyond Culture: Bridging Gaps in Accessibility\, Equity & Inclusion”\nEmployment Equity Partners’ Roundtable provides a shared communication platform for leaders in academia\, business\, civil society\, and the public sector\, to explore: systemic racism and discrimination in the workplace; how power and privilege manifest themselves\, explore how to eliminate biases\, and define pathways for accountability to advance equity and inclusion in Canadian workplaces and the society. In 2021\, the inaugural Partners’ Roundtable held in partnership with Excellence Canada and the Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business\, on the theme\, “Moving with the Data”. Discussions focused on gaps exacerbated by the pandemic\, and the increased need for institutional shifts in policy\, process and practice with a key focus on data-driven solutions to longstanding inequalities across public and private sectors. In 2022\, the Partners’ Roundtable held in partnership with the Global Centre for Pluralism\, on the theme\, “Partnership for an Inclusive Future”\, in line with emerging needs and orientation toward exploring insights on the practice of pluralism; systemic racism in the era of COVID-19; and pathways for accountability through policy initiatives for advancing equity and inclusion. \nEmployment Equity Partners’ Roundtable provides a shared communication platform for leaders in academia\, business\, civil society\, and the public sector\, to explore: systemic racism and discrimination in the workplace; how power and privilege manifest themselves\, explore how to eliminate biases\, and define pathways for accountability to advance equity and inclusion in Canadian workplaces and the society.
