SUMMARY:Assemblée publique annuelle du CRDI – Mobiliser des alliances pour un monde plus durable
DESCRIPTION:Devant l’intensification des incertitudes dans le monde\, l’importance de la collaboration pour trouver des solutions durables et inclusives n’a jamais été aussi grande. Le thème de l’assemblée publique annuelle de cette année est « Mobiliser des alliances pour un monde plus durable ». La rencontre mettra en lumière la manière dont les partenariats stratégiques du CRDI répondent aux défis mondiaux urgents que posent les changements climatiques\, et fournira des mises à jour sur les programmes qui démontrent la manière dont les partenariats peuvent renforcer l’action climatique.   \nDorothy Nyambi\, présidente du Conseil des gouverneurs du CRDI\, et Julie Delahanty\, présidente du CRDI\, prononceront le discours d’ouverture. D’importantes mises à jour sur les programmes du CRDI seront également fournies.  \nActiver le changement : accélération de l’adaptation aux changements climatiques\nCe partenariat entre le Canada et les Pays-Bas accélère les efforts d’adaptation au climat équitables\, inclusifs et menés localement\, en vue d’améliorer la qualité de vie des personnes les plus touchées par les changements climatiques dans le monde. Georgina Kemp\, spécialiste de programme principale pour les Systèmes alimentaires résilients au climat (SARC) du CRDI\, expliquera comment l’initiative Activer le changement aide les communautés locales à s’adapter aux réalités des changements climatiques en répondant à leurs besoins les plus urgents. En savoir plus sur l’initiative Activer le changement.  \nRenforcer la capacité de réponse aux questions de pertes et dommages dans les pays du Sud (STRENGTH)\nBhim Adhikari\, spécialiste de programme principal pour Économies durables et inclusives (EDI) du CRDI\, expliquera comment l’initiative STRENGTH soutient l’élaboration et la mise en œuvre de politiques nationales qui aident les pays du Sud à faire face aux pertes irréparables et aux dommages récupérables causés par les changements climatiques.
