SUMMARY:Advancing Action on Adaptation: Implications of COP28
DESCRIPTION:Un soutien et une action accrus en matière d’adaptation constituent un besoin de longue date\, comme indiqué dans l’Objectif mondial en matière d’adaptation (OMA)\, établi dans le cadre de l’Accord de Paris de 2015. Le coût estimé de l’adaptation pour les pays en développement pourrait atteindre 387 milliards de dollars par an au cours de cette décennie\, ce qui souligne l’importance de faire face à l’ampleur et à la fréquence des catastrophes et des impacts liés au climat. L’OMA est un cadre visant à fournir des objectifs mesurables\, des indicateurs et des lignes directrices qui sauront catalyser les initiatives d’adaptation et renforcer le financement et le soutien aux pays en développement. Pourtant\, la mise en œuvre de l’OMA s’est avérée difficile. \nLors de la COP 28\, les Parties ont identifié des lacunes dans le cadre du premier bilan mondial et ont cherché à faire progresser l’OMA en adoptant le Cadre des Émirats arabes unis pour la résilience climatique mondiale. \nLe 22 février\, joignez-vous à la Fondation Aga Khan Canada (la Fondation) et à l’Institut international du développement durable (IIDD) dans le cadre d’un événement virtuel sur l’avancement de l’action mondiale en matière d’adaptation et les répercussions des résultats liés à l’adaptation issus de la COP 28. SUMMARY:EmpowerU - A Human Trafficking Knowledge Sharing Event
