SUMMARY:Where is the anaemia target for young children? The missing WHA nutrition target. Perspectives on home fortification for children under five
DESCRIPTION:The Nutrition for Growth Summit is an opportunity to define a clear vision for where donors and countries need to invest to eliminate malnutrition. Our solution-focused virtual side events will look at what nutrition priorities should be to drive country-led\, evidence-based\, fully financed nutrition programs for the future. \nHosted by the Home Fortification Technical Advisory Group – co-chaired by Nutrition International and UNICEF – this event will dive into why it’s imperative for planners\, speakers and donors at N4G to call for the World Health Assembly to set anaemia targets for infants and young children and promote investment in evidence-based interventions to improve the iron status of young children. This event will include valuable participation from the Nutrition Scaling Working Group. \nRegister here.

SUMMARY:Multisectoral Collaboration in Action: Practical insights into addressing malnutrition through a multisectoral approach
DESCRIPTION:The rationale for a multisectoral approach to addressing malnutrition is clear – what may be less clear is how to achieve this in practice. SUMMARY:Essential nutrition interventions and the prevention of NCDs in later life – Results from the Nutrition International / Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health IGNITE collaboration
DESCRIPTION:Co-hosted by the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and Nutrition International\, this event will present new evidence and impact pathways linking maternal nutrition interventions to the prevention of non-communicable diseases in the life of a child.
SUMMARY:Towards a More Equal Future – The Role of Gender Equality in Ending Malnutrition by 2030
DESCRIPTION:COVID-19 has exposed gaps in nutrition efforts that have always required a shift in gendered power dynamics and decision-making. Put simply\, good nutrition cultivates gender equality\, and gender equality cultivates good nutrition. We must make gender equality the central catalyst\, to sustainably improve nutrition and access to affordable healthy diets for all. \nJoin host Femi Oke\, World Vision\, as well as partners Standing Together for Nutrition\, Scaling Up Nutrition\, Save the Children\, CARE\, and Nutrition International as we look at how gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls are central parts of building back better. The event will reflect on the key gender wins from the UN Food System Summit and spotlight Member States who have risen to the challenge of prioritizing gender equality within their commitments and action plans.
