SUMMARY:Intégrer l'égalité des genres à l'action humanitaire
DESCRIPTION:Les crises humanitaires touchent de manière disproportionnée les femmes\, les jeunes filles et les personnes de diverses identités de genre. Qu’il s’agisse de catastrophes naturelles ou de conflits\, les femmes et les filles voient leurs réseaux familiaux et sociaux perturbés\, sont exposées à une augmentation de la violence fondée sur le genre\, perdent l’accès à des services essentiels de santé sexuelle et reproductive (SSR) et voient les inégalités de genres existantes encore exacerbées après la crise. \nIl est donc nécessaire d’intégrer une perspective de genre dans la programmation de la réponse humanitaire et de créer des opportunités pour un changement transformateur en matière de genre (TG). Cette approche permet de s’attaquer aux causes profondes et aux normes sociales qui sous-tendent les inégalités entre les genres. Elle prend également en compte d’autres interventions transformatrices en matière de genre dont l’importance est souvent minimisée dans la réponse humanitaire parce que l’objectif principal de la programmation est l’aide en cas de catastrophe ou parce que les délais de mise en œuvre des programmes sont trop courts pour permettre de suivre les changements transformateurs. \nEn outre\, les impacts genrés des crises humanitaires ne sont pas reconnus et traités de la même manière dans tous les contextes. En particulier\, les programmes nationaux de gestion des catastrophes n’intègrent souvent pas l’optique EG/TG\, comme cela a été mis en évidence lors de la pandémie de COVID-19​. \nLe 13 septembre de 13 h à 14 h 30 EDT\, rejoignez le CanSFE pour discuter des outils pratiques et des meilleures pratiques pour mieux intégrer l’égalité des genres/ la programmation de changements transformateurs en matière de genre dans l’action humanitaire\, le lien entre l’humanitaire\, le développement et la programmation nexus et comment combler le fossé qui existe entre les réponses internationales et nationales. En particulier\, la violence fondée sur le genre et facilitée par la technologie (VFGFT)* est devenue une menace croissante et a des conséquences importantes sur la santé\, la sécurité\, la politique et l’économie des femmes et des jeunes filles\, de leurs familles et de leurs communautés\, et de la société dans son ensemble. \n*La violence fondée sur le genre et facilitée par la technologie (VFGFT) désigne tout acte commis\, assisté\, aggravé ou amplifié par l’utilisation des technologies de l’information et de la communication ou d’autres outils numériques susceptibles de causer un préjudice physique\, sexuel\, psychologique\, social\, politique ou économique ou d’autres atteintes aux droits. \nLe 27 septembre de 13 h à 14 h 30 EDT\, rejoignez le CanSFE pour discuter des stratégies\, des outils et des meilleures pratiques pour aborder et prévenir la VFGFT par le biais d’approches multiples et à différents niveaux. SUMMARY:Aborder l'égalité entre les hommes et les femmes de manière transversale grâce à l'assistance technique internationale à court terme
DESCRIPTION:Cet événement rassemble un panel d’experts canadiens (EC) déployés par l’équipe TAP-EDM à travers le monde et spécialisés dans les projets d’égalité de genre et d’inclusion sociale (GESI). \nGrâce à la mise en œuvre du Partenariat d’assistance technique (PAT)\, nous explorerons comment le Canada aide à renforcer les systèmes gouvernementaux internationaux\, en abordant l’égalité des genres de manière transversale. \nComment l’expertise canadienne contribue-t-elle à l’amélioration de l’égalité des genres dans le monde ? Notre panel de spécialistes fournira des exemples de la prise en compte d’une approche d’égalité des genres\, comment elle est incluse dans la planification et le développement de politiques de base\, adaptées à un contexte en développement international. \nNous identifierons quelques thèmes transversaux liés à l’égalité des genres et à l’inclusion\, tels que : l’approche largement reconnue du Canada de l’Analyse comparative entre les sexes plus (ACS+) et sa mise en œuvre dans divers contextes; la promotion des droits LGBTQi\, ainsi que l’exploration d’initiatives de budgétisation fondées sur le genre.
