DESCRIPTION:Rejoignez-nous le mercredi 1er avril\, alors que la série de webinaires de l’AVA présente «  Mobiliser la communauté pour la prévention des femmes et filles autochtones disparues et assassinées dans la région de la Route des Larmes » \, avec la participation de  la Dre Jacqueline Holler et de Sara Heembrock de l’ Université du Nord de la Colombie-Britannique . \nMercredi 1er avril 2026 \n14 h – 15 h 30 EDT \nL’expression « Route des Larmes » est mondialement synonyme de la problématique des femmes\, des filles et des minorités de genre autochtones disparues et assassinées (FFADA)\, mais la région a également été le théâtre d’un puissant plaidoyer et d’une mobilisation active en faveur du changement. Le Symposium sur la Route des Larmes de 2006 a mis en lumière cette problématique et a abouti à 33 recommandations pour le changement dans le nord de la Colombie-Britannique. Ce webinaire présente les résultats d’un travail de recherche et de mobilisation en cours sur la prévention des FFADA mené par les Services familiaux Carrier Sekani\, l’Institut féministe du Nord pour la recherche et l’évaluation\, ainsi que par des communautés et des organismes du centre-nord de la Colombie-Britannique. Depuis 2023\, le partenariat de recherche actuel mène des recherches et mobilise les membres des communautés le long de la Route des Larmes afin d’évaluer les progrès réalisés en matière de prévention et les lacunes persistantes. Ce webinaire présente le projet de recherche et ses conclusions en amont du Symposium du 20e anniversaire de la Route des Larmes\, qui se tiendra à Prince George (Colombie-Britannique) en avril 2026. \nÀ propos des intervenants \nJacqueline Holler est professeure d’études féminines et de genre et d’histoire à l’Université du Nord de la Colombie-Britannique et membre de l’équipe dirigeante du Northern Feminist Institute for Research and Evaluation. \nSara Heembrock est étudiante à la maîtrise en éducation (conseil) à l’Université du Nord de la Colombie-Britannique. Elle possède une expérience de travail auprès des communautés autochtones dans les domaines des services aux étudiants\, du logement\, du bien-être holistique et des services sociaux en Colombie-Britannique du Nord. Son travail s’appuie sur des approches autochtones\, tenant compte des traumatismes et ancrées dans la communauté. DESCRIPTION:Rejoignez-nous le mercredi 25 mars pour la série de webinaires de l’AVA qui présente «  Reconnaître le risque : évaluer la violence familiale dans les litiges familiaux » \, avec la participation de  la Dre Lisa Heslop  du Centre de recherche et d’éducation sur la violence faite aux femmes et aux enfants (CREVAWC). \nMercredi 15 avril 2026 \n14 h – 15 h 30 pm EDT \nLe dépistage de la violence familiale est la première étape pour assurer la sécurité des parents victimes de violence familiale et de leurs enfants. Cette présentation débutera par un aperçu des raisons pour lesquelles les professionnels du droit familial devraient dépister la violence familiale\, des obstacles rencontrés et des outils de dépistage qui contribueront à standardiser le processus. Au-delà du dépistage\, le Dr Heslop présentera un nouveau guide d’évaluation en ligne\, l’e-SAFeR\, conçu pour vous aider à formuler des recommandations de plan parental tenant compte de la violence familiale et plaçant la sécurité des enfants et du parent victime au premier plan. L’e-SAFeR vous guidera dans l’évaluation de chaque élément de l’intérêt supérieur de l’enfant\, conformément à la loi fédérale ou provinciale/territoriale de votre choix\, notamment la nature\, la gravité et la fréquence de la violence familiale\, le contrôle coercitif\, l’impact de la violence familiale sur le parent victime et ses enfants\, ainsi que l’évaluation des changements chez le parent violent. \nÀ propos de l’intervenant \nLisa Heslop\, docteure en psychologie du développement de l’Université de Toronto\, est chercheuse associée au Centre de recherche et d’éducation sur la violence faite aux femmes et aux enfants (CREVAWC) de l’Université Western. Elle codirige des initiatives au CREVAWC liées à la violence familiale et au droit de la famille et dirige actuellement le programme « De la sensibilisation à l’action »\, qui vise à faciliter la transition du dépistage et de l’évaluation à l’élaboration de plans parentaux adaptés après des actes de violence familiale dans le système de justice familiale. Elle est coauteure d’articles et de chapitres d’ouvrages portant sur la violence fondée sur le sexe et ses conséquences\, les pratiques tenant compte des traumatismes et de la violence\, ainsi que la criminalisation des personnes atteintes de maladie mentale. Elle est consultante auprès de la clinique du tribunal de la famille de London (Navigating Onward) et membre du comité clinique du Bureau de l’avocat des enfants. \nInscrivez-vous ici!

DESCRIPTION:Wi Lead by Sabi (“We lead by example”) was a gender-transformative innovation that sought to address gender and disability discrimination as intersecting dimensions of women’s identities. DESCRIPTION:Rejoignez-nous le mercredi 29 avril\, alors que la série de webinaires de l’AVA présente «  Revenu de base et violence sexiste : explorer le potentiel transformateur d’un revenu de base garanti et décent pour soutenir la sécurité et l’autonomie » \, avec Jennie Pearson et Moss du Basic Income Youth Collective . \nMercredi 29 avril 2026 \n14 h – 15 h 30 pm EDT \nCette session offre une introduction accessible au concept de revenu de base et à ses implications pour les personnes victimes ou à risque de violences sexistes. Les participants découvriront les liens entre le plaidoyer en faveur du revenu de base et la lutte contre les violences et pour l’égalité des genres\, et seront invités à réfléchir à l’impact du revenu de base sur la sécurité et l’autonomie des personnes. \nÀ propos des intervenants \nJennie Pearson \, docteure en philosophie (elle)\, est chercheuse communautaire et boursière postdoctorale à l’Université Simon Fraser. Ses recherches portent sur les pratiques d’entraide et les modèles de soutien communautaire des travailleuses et travailleurs du sexe\, tant dans l’espace physique que numérique. Elle est également membre du Collectif jeunesse pour le revenu de base. Son intérêt pour le revenu de base découle de ses recherches et de son travail de défense des droits des travailleuses et travailleurs du sexe\, et reconnaît l’impact combiné de la criminalisation et de la pauvreté sur leur santé\, leur sécurité et leur bien-être. \nMoss est une personne genderqueer guyanaise et péruvienne vivant à Tkaronto/Toronto. Pendant la pandémie de COVID-19\, iel s’est davantage engagé·e dans la justice sociale\, en faisant du bénévolat pour Meals on Wheels et en s’informant sur l’accessibilité et les transports urbains. \nLeur prise de conscience croissante des inégalités systémiques a renforcé leur conviction quant à l’utilité du revenu de base. Moss œuvre désormais à la création d’une communauté parmi ses pairs handicapés\, écrit et étudie le travail social à Seneca Polytechnic\, dans l’espoir de promouvoir la libération LGBTQ+\, la justice pour les personnes handicapées et les droits des jeunes dans sa future carrière. \nInscrivez-vous ici!

The session will include a live demonstration\, followed by a panel discussion with global and regional advocates on how feminist and reproductive justice movements are using diverse strategies to shift narratives\, strengthen advocacy and expand access to abortion care globally.
