In order to make Canada’s global sexual and reproductive health and rights programming more effective, Global Affairs Canada has established a number of Key Performance Indicators in order to aggregate results from all of their sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) programming, through to 2020.
As part of Global Affairs Canada’s consultation process on SRHR programming, CanWaCH led a dialogue with 61 organizations involved in SRHR programming in January 2018. This consultation provided an opportunity for a wide range of Canadian and global stakeholders to give valuable feedback on the proposed list of SRHR indicators as well as recommendations on how to improve the list. Through this process, it was demonstrated that Canadian organizations have extensive expertise and interest in this topic, which helped SRHR programming to be explored at a great depth.
A detailed report summarizing the findings and recommendations also emerged from this process. If you would like to learn more about the report and the process that led to its creation, please contact Jessica Ferne, Manager, Global Health Impact, at [email protected].
