HealthBridge Foundation of Canada, International Nepal Fellowship (Nepal) and local stakeholders are implementing a maternal, newborn and child health program in Banke District of Nepal, funded by Global Affairs Canada. Street dramas are used as a way to engage men, women and family members on a variety of important topics, including the importance of breastfeeding, nutrition for children, sharing work in the home, joint decision-making between partners, and warning signs during pregnancy. Child and youth clubs develop and performs the dramas that are attended by hundreds of community members. These dramas provide an opportunity to educate the community on important topics in a fun and informal setting.
