MinoFest, formerly the Racialized Maternal Health Conference, is the only conference of its kind in North America, and is the premier event shaping the future of perinatal care for Black and racialized birthing persons.
MinoFest 2023 will take place on November 30 at the Design Exchange in Toronto. We have carefully curated an enriching program that includes inspiring keynote speakers, thought-provoking panel discussions, and engaging workshops. This event is an opportunity to unite and learn from experts in the field, share experiences, and collectively address crucial challenges in perinatal health.
Early Bird Pricing Available Until September 5!
Your ticket gives you full access to conference programming, food and beverage (breakfast, lunch, and beverages will be served), and our Opening Night Party (6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.).
Celebrating Holistic Motherhood & Perinatal Health
MinoFest is inspired by the term “Mino”, which is a term in the Fon Language which means “Our Mothers”. It was used to describe the Dahomey Amazons, who were an all female military regiment of the Kingdom of Dahomey (Benin). Although the Mino did not have their own children, they were viewed as warriors, advocates, protectors, caregivers, and mother figures to their communities. We firmly believe in celebrating a holistic experience of motherhood, parenting and perinatal health that engages all aspects of the full experience of Black and racialized birthing persons and parents. Whether you are nurturing and safeguarding your family or your community, we recognize and appreciate the invaluable work you do each day to uplift us all.
