Grand Challenges Canada (GCC) is currently accepting applications for its Options for Pregnancy Termination Innovation Initiative (OPTions Initiative). The OPTions Initiative seeks innovative and transformative approaches that put women, girls, and people with diverse sexual and gender identities in control of where, when and how they terminate their pregnancy.
Applications are open through December 31, 2022 for seed grants of up to $400,000 CAD for innovations that seek to test and develop next-generation methods of pregnancy termination, menses induction or conception interruption. For this funding opportunity, GCC is prioritizing submissions from institutions based in Sub-Saharan Africa, however partnerships with institutions in other parts of the world are encouraged.
