The 3-year FEMIN-ACT project will address poverty reduction and food insecurity in Iraq through an integrated approach to agricultural development. The Project will enhance the capacity of smallholder farmers and value chain actors in sustainable, climate-smart agriculture (CSA); it will invest in improved and less water intensive irrigation systems; and will support effective and inclusive water governance within farmer associations, unions, and communities. The Project aims to contribute to increased equitable food security of climate-change-affected populations in drought areas of the targeted governorates in Iraq.
