Be part of AKFC’s Youth Advisory Committee!

The Youth Advisory Committee spearheads AKFC’s national youth engagement strategies and ensures that youth perspectives are integrated throughout AKFC’s programs to engage Canadians.

To be eligible for participation in AKFC’s Youth Advisory Committee, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Be based in Canada and able to commit 4 hours per month for a one-year term.
• Be a passionate young leader age 16 to 21 with a keen interest in youth engagement and international development.

We’re looking for candidates who have:

• an interest in global development and youth engagement.
• passion for creating positive change and raising awareness about international development issues.
• strong communication and collaboration skills to engage with peers.
• commitment to inclusivity, diversity, and equity.
• experience in extracurricular activities, leadership roles, or community involvement is an asset.
• openness to innovative ideas and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
