THE PLEDGE FOR CHANGE 2030 RE-IMAGINES THE ROLE OF INGOS IN THE GLOBAL HUMANITARIAN AND DEVELOPMENT AID SYSTEM.
The Pledge for Change is a result of a two-year effort organized and led by Degan Ali and her organization Adeso, in response to INGO leaders seeking her help to push the sector forward. The Pledge builds on previous commitments made by our sector focused on the role of INGOs, and emphasizes the part to be played by local organizations and the rights, needs and priorities of local communities. What results is a commitment to meaningful and ambitious change centered in three core areas – equitable partnerships, authentic storytelling, and influencing wider change – and based on the principles of solidarity, humility, self-determination, and equality in three core areas.Join us at the launch event to learn more about the Pledge and hear from those involved in this process!
