Brand Manager, Sexual and Reproductive Health

About the Job

The Brand Manager will primarily be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing brand strategies, marketing plans, and product innovations to drive product growth in the field of sexual and reproductive health.

This individual will manage marketing activities and customer relations for MIFEGYMISO, the prescription pharmaceutical for early abortion, in Canada. They will take over projects involving external resources that support the MIFEGYMISO brand, track and analyze their success, and identify the best ways to move the brand forward. Most importantly, this person will have to forge relationships with members of the small and insulated stakeholder group that forms the Canadian abortion care community that includes health care practitioners, clinic operational and administrative personnel, government officials, advocates, and academia.

They must be comfortable working in abortion care, passionate about health equity, and willing to take ownership of their work without reservation.

Essential Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • Manage clinical and commercial customer relationships
  • Gather customer and market insights to inform commercial strategies
  • Manage content and updates for stakeholder, customer, and internal touch points
  • Develop multi-channel campaigns for stakeholder and patient targets, ensuring the alignment of communications and messaging across all channels and targets
  • Work in partnership with external creative and communications organizations, develop creative briefs and guide creative direction to execute plans
  • Identify effectiveness and impact of marketing initiatives with data and analysis and optimize accordingly
  • Organize and participate in events and provide sales support

Qualifications, Experience and Skills Wanted:

  • Comfortability with working in abortion and willingness to be public about your work
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French (Quebecois)
  • Strong project management, multitasking, and decision-making skills
  • Business administration/marketing and/or sales experience
  • Canadian pharmaceutical industry experience
  • Creativity and independence in problem-solving
  • Proficiency with digital/online marketing strategy
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or relevant scientific or medical field
