Job description
Amref Health Africa in Canada is seeking to recruit a summer student to support the Finance  Department. The ideal candidate is majoring in Accounting reconciliation with data experience would  be an asset. 
The successful applicant’s responsibilities will include:
∙ Filing financial reports
∙ Assist with Fundraising financial reports through donor database
∙ Basic administration
∙ Updating and maintaining procedural documentation

Work Environment 
• The applicant will work remotely 30 hours per week following the organization’s standard  working hours (Monday to Thursday) 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 pm)
• This position may require extended periods of standing, sitting, as well as some repetitive  movements

Eligibility Criteria: 
As the funding for this position comes from Service Canada’s 2021 Canada Summer Jobs program,  applicants MUST meet the following specific criteria. 
(a) is between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive) at the start of employment;

(b) is a Canadian Citizen, OR permanent resident, OR person on whom refugee protection has been  conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act*; and

(c) is legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial / territorial legislation and  regulations.

*International students are not eligible. Recent immigrants are eligible if they are Canadian Citizens  or permanent residents.
