Summary

In an era of rapidly changing contexts for international cooperation, Cuso International is looking for an experienced Head of Program (HoP) to take over the leadership of Cuso’s existing Canada Program (CP) and set its future direction through dialogue and consultation with First Nations, Métis and Inuit communities and organizations in Canada.

Description

As Cuso’s regional leader, they play a strategic role in supporting effective relations with donors and partner organizations and the development of new projects aligned with Cuso’s thematic priorities as well as mobilizing funding from national, regional and international donors to scale-up and maximize Cuso’s impact in the country over the next years.

The Canada Program will elevate Cuso’s unique way of creating long-term relationships with communities and organizations that support long-term programs with specific focus on building relationships with First Nations across Canada. Cuso seeks to contribute humbly and meaningfully to Canada’s long journey of Reconciliation.

The ideal candidate has a deep knowledge of national cooperation matters and a professional track record of entrepreneurship in a career that has shown success in roles of progressively greater responsibilities. The HoP, CP must have experience with all facets of non-profit leadership, from programs and stakeholder management to financial management and human resources. As a superior communicator in English, they are a natural collaborator and partnership broker.
