Communications Intern

Results Canada is recruiting a Communications Intern to join our dedicated team of staff and volunteers. The Campaigns Intern will support the Policy Advocacy and Parliamentary Affairs teams in developing and delivering high impact advocacy campaigns and will have the opportunity to: undertake research and policy analysis, develop advocacy tools and communications products as well as support our parliamentary engagement.

IMPORTANT: This position is funded through the Canada Summer Jobs Programme which requires applicants to be aged between 15 and 30 and be legally entitled to work in Canada. International students are not eligible.


  • Create relevant, clear, and compelling content for the Results Canada’s website and social channels.
  • Support the development of communications products including reports, blogs, and newsletters.
  • Work with the policy and parliamentary teams to produce materials on international development for decision-makers and the public.
  • Support the creation of public engagement tools and communications materials for volunteers.
  • Support the implementation of strategies for volunteer outreach and engagement.
  • Other duties as required.


  • Post-secondary degree in communications, marketing, journalism, or other related fields, or experience in a relevant field.
  • Excellent organizational skills, goal-oriented, and proactive.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills.
  • Experience creating and posting creative content for social media.
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Respect for diversity and commitment to creating an environment that values inclusiveness and respect. 


  • Experience with basic website management (e.g., WordPress).
  • Familiarity with email marketing software.
  • Familiarity with basic design software (e.g., Canva).
  • Familiarity with basic video production and editing.
  • Proficiency in both English and French.

Work environment

Results Canada operates as a hybrid work environment with staff working from home and the Results Canada Ottawa office as required. Fully remote Candidates (outside Ottawa/Gatineau) are also encouraged to apply for this role.
