LUCKY IRON FISH ENTERPRISE (LIFe)
LIFe has created a small iron cooking tool, cast in the shape of a fish, that infuses meals with a healthy
amount of natural iron to help prevent and address iron deficiency and iron deficiency anemia. Iron
deficiency is the world’s largest micronutrient challenge, negatively impacting the lives of over 2 billion
people around the planet. The Lucky Iron Fish is a clinically proven health innovation that is sustainable,
affordable, and safe to use. As a social enterprise and registered BCorp, impact is at the core of what we
do. We offer our product at a discounted rate to NGOs and nonprofits and donate a portion of our sales
to our Impact Fund which is used to distribute LIFE products and services to communities in need.
Through our business development efforts Lucky Iron Fish has partnered with large international NGOs
(iNGOs) to deliver nutrition programming around the world, including in Cambodia, Tanzania, Benin,
Madagascar, Senegal, India, Peru, Guatemala and the Dominican Republic. Lucky Iron Fish provides
tailored training and program development help to organizations working to address hunger and
malnutrition.
THE POSITION/OPPORTUNITY
The Sr. Manager, Business Development & Partnerships will report directly to the Programs & Impact
Director and support our NGO and corporate engagement efforts. The role will work directly with the
senior management team and be responsible for generating new leads and partnerships with large
iNGOs and corporate foundations.
The position will require business development, engagement with external partners, research into trends
and statistics in the global nutrition landscape, and putting together case studies, proposals and
sector-specific marketing material. Grant writing and research will also be required.
The ideal candidate has experience working with a large iNGO in a fundraising or partnership capacity
and has international development and/or global health experience and is comfortable leading calls and
work sessions with a variety of sectors and actors. Work experience in the nutrition sector, specifically
