Youth Council

Calling all changemakers 14 to 22 years old of all gender identities, do you want a seat at the table at one of the world’s leading organizations committed to advancing children’s rights? Fill in the application form below to apply to join Plan International Canada’s Youth Council. 

Strengthen your leadership and advocacy skills by joining a group of national changemakers representing Plan International Canada as advisors, influencers, and ambassadors in local and global forums. As part of the youth council, you will be able to support the strategic direction of the Youth Engagement team, provide feedback on various aspects of the organization, connect with like-minded leaders locally, globally and much more. Financial support to cover council expenses will be provided to ensure all Youth Council members have equal access to personal and professional development opportunities throughout their 2-year term!  Applications will be open from Monday, June 26, until closing Sunday, July 16, at 11:59 p.m. EST. 

In order to apply, you must:

• Be between the ages of 14 to 22 at the time of your application.
• Living in Canada
• Interested in topics of climate action and the refugee crisis 
• Be able to commit 1-3 hours weekly and attend monthly council meetings. 
• Be able to attend the annual retreat from Friday, September 15, to Sunday, September 17. 
• Be able to commit to a 2-year term
