Résultats Attendus


This project’s ultimate outcome is to enhance equitable and inclusive literacy and life skills for host and internally displaced children (ages 6-12), including girls and children living with disabilities (CLWDs), in Gao and Mopti regions of Mali. Expected outcomes include 1) Improved performance of local internally displaced persons (IDP) and women-led organisations working on gender-responsive education 2) Increased access to Gender Responsive and Inclusive Quality Learning Opportunities for all children, enabled by CBOs, host communities, and government service provider and 3) Enhanced collective action of CBOs and children to advance the right to GRIQLO for all children. 

Résultats Obtenus


1) Grade 4 reading proficiency: increase from 13% at baseline to 31% at midline.​ 

2) Life skills: slight decrease from 44% at baseline to 42% at midline. 

3) The percentage of children reporting parental support at home for their studies increased from 39% at baseline to 73% at midline (from 34% to 81% for girls).

4) 85% of teachers, head teachers, and pedagogical advisors said lessons learned had shaped their educational practices.​

All CBOs report collaborating with local education actors​. 

Many local education actors perceive CBOs as making a valuable contribution to promoting Gender Responsive and Inclusive Quality Learning Opportunities (GRIQLO). Children in several schools at midline (particularly IDP and girls) report a more welcoming and inclusive school environment. 

Local education authorities report that teachers are using more games, interactive activities, and inclusive methods in the classroom.
