The Final Push: Working Together for Global Maternal, Newborn and Child Health

At the request of the Government of Canada, through a consultative process, the CAN-MNCH Stakeholder Engagement Working Group recently prepared a strategy note on MNCH. This has been shared broadly with government officials and elected representatives. The Final Push outlines key recommendations and strategic areas for strengthened focus.

Global and Canadian evidence is demonstrating that investments are having a tremendous impact. But despite remarkable progress, improvements in MNCH have been uneven across and within countries. This inequality means that millions are still dying of preventable causes. Building on the momentum of the Muskoka Initiative, we can strengthen our efforts to target the hardest to reach populations, while working to protect the gains we have already made.  Click here to see Strategy Note
