Lifesaving MNCH Kits Delivered to All Members of Parliament

We know what works to save more lives. Often, simple and inexpensive interventions like the ones found in the kit that were delivered to Canadian Members of Parliament today on Parliament Hill are most effective. Every day, health workers are using interventions like these to save lives.

The kits contained an assortment of interventions including replicas or expired samples of: lucky iron fish, Vitamin A capsules, MUAC bracelets to identify malnourished children, pneumonia beads to assess respiratory rates in babies, clean birthing kits, letters from families who have benefited from Canadian care and more.

We hope our Members of Parliament will share these items and our collective Canadian story with their constituents in their communities this summer. Special thanks to The Right Honourable Prime Minister Harper, Minister Christian Paradis, Parliamentary Secretary Lois Brown, MP Helene Laverdiere and MP Kirsty Duncan.
